Finding Financial Help

If your medical insurance coverage is slim to none, there may be some ways to help with costs:

  • Fly free to treatments at a recognized cancer treatment center through the Corporate Angel Network. Some restrictions apply. Call 914-328-1313. www.CorpAngelNetwork.org.
  • The Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation has a list of organizations to which eligible families may apply for financial assistance. Call 1-800-366-2223.
  • Hospitals that receive federal Hill-Burton funds must provide some services at no or low cost. Call 1-800-638-0742 for a list of these hospitals.
  • Patients with leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease or myeloma.may be eligible to receive reimbursement of up to $750 for approved drugs for treating or controlling those cancers; for medical care transportation and other covered services. Call the Leukemia Society of America in St. Louis Park, Minnesota at 612-545-3309.
